It's no secret that I'm a huge reader, and that one of my favorite authors is James Patterson. In the "Top 5" tab at the top of my blog he is listed there under the heading "Top 5 Authors". I've read SO MANY of his novels, and I'm not going to list them all here. I use GoodReads to keep track of the list :)

I will talk about my favorite series that he does write, though, and that is the Women's Murder Club. Every year, a few days before my birthday a new novel in the series hits the shelves and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. This year was the release of book 17 in the series - The 17th Suspect. So, this is an easy gift idea for me for my husband to note ;)
Story
line for the Women's Murder Club series:
Since there are 17 novels in this series to-date (cover of first in series posted above), so this is a very general run-down. The reader follows the professional and personal life of Lindsay Boxer, her four friends (Cindy Thomas, Claire Washburn, Jill Bernhardt and Yuki Castellano), and her husband Joe as they navigate their lives in San Francisco. The girls are very involved in each others lives, providing support, friendship, and assistance in solving crimes. The girls usually meet at a local Mexican restaurant called Susie's for food and drinks, and to discuss case clues and life in general.
Each novel in the series has a new suspect with new motives. And the lives of the Women's Murder Club members develop throughout the series as well. So, if your starting this series, it really is one that you need to start at the beginning and work your way through.
While I'm a huge fan of the Women's Murder Club, I have also red (and loved!) Patterson's NYPD Red series (to-date), and about half of the Alex Cross series as well. There are so many of his novels on my to-read list, and I'm slowly working my way through the list. I usually purchase these novels on my Kobo for the ease of taking them with me when I'm on the go. I get about 4-5 James Patterson novels read each year. With that said, when I picked up the Women's Murder Club series 6 years ago, I burned though the first 12 novels in about a year and a half (reading a few novels in-between the series). Patterson's novels are easy to get into, there is great character development, and the novels are page-turning adventures that are difficult to put down.
Which authors and series are you caught up in?
Looking forward to reading all the responses.
Later Days,
Jen
PS: This happened a little over a month ago! My fave author is following one of my Twitter accounts - Eek! I'm stoked and this so made my day :)
